The menthol does more than flavour: it takes the edge off the throat hit 50mg would otherwise produce, and that is the reason iced fruits dominate high-strength salts. The 70/30 ratio is higher in vegetable glycerine than the 50/50 most pod salts use, so it gives more vapour and a softer draw but wicks more slowly — let a freshly filled pod stand a few minutes before the first draw. On strength, 50mg is for somebody recently off cigarettes, while 30mg is the more sustainable setting once tolerance has settled. Watermelon and menthol are both light on coils, so this should not gum one up the way a creamy or dessert liquid will.
