VAPORESSO SKRR QF (Meshed/strip) REPLACEMENT COILS

These are replacement coils for the Vaporesso SKRR sub-ohm tank, available in two versions: QF Meshed and QF Strip. The wick is a blend of flax and cotton rather than cotton alone, which is the detail that sets the QF series apart from most sub-ohm coils.

Flax fibre carries liquid faster than cotton and holds up better to heat, so the coil keeps pace at higher wattages instead of drying out mid-draw, and it tends to keep flavour clean for longer before going dull. The trade-off is a slightly longer priming period when the coil is new — the blend absorbs more slowly at first, so soak the wicking ports, fill the tank and leave it standing for several minutes before the first draw. Dry-firing a fresh QF coil is the fastest way to ruin one. The QF Meshed is rated at 0.2 ohm and 55 to 85 watts, which is a wide band; the lower end gives a cooler draw and longer coil life, and the upper end gives denser vapour and warmth at the cost of liquid and coil life. A mesh element heats across a broad surface rather than a single wire, which is why flavour stays consistent across that range. The SKRR tank these fit is also compatible with Vaporesso GT coils, so if the QF series is out of stock the GT range is a direct alternative.
