JUICE ROLL UPZ - STRAWBERRY ICE

Strawberry Ice takes the strawberry fruit-roll flavour at the centre of the Juice Roll Upz range and adds a light cooling finish. The strawberry is the sweet-shop kind rather than fresh fruit — soft, slightly jammy and candied, with none of the tartness a real berry carries — and the ice arrives only at the end of the exhale.

Keeping the menthol restrained is the right decision with a flavour this sweet. A heavy ice layer over candied strawberry usually cancels the fruit out and leaves you with something that tastes mainly of cold; here the strawberry stays legible and the cooling simply stops it cloying by the bottom of the tank. That makes it more usable in the heat than the uniced strawberry liquids in the same category.

At 80% VG it is thicker than most of the range and firmly a sub-ohm liquid — that ratio gives dense vapour and a soft mouthfeel, but it will not wick through the small feed holes of a pod coil. It comes as a 60ml bottle in two nicotine strengths. 3mg is what most people using a direct-lung tank will want; 6mg suits a lower-wattage setup or someone who finds 3mg leaves them vaping more often than intended.
