DEAD RABBIT RDA BY HELLVAPE & HEATHEN

The Dead Rabbit is Hellvape's 24mm RDA, designed with Heathen in the USA, and it remains one of the most widely recommended flavour-focused rebuildables. It takes single or dual coils on a two-post deck with generous post holes and a slide-in top arrangement that removes the need to pre-cut coil leads accurately.

The airflow is what defines it. Air enters from adjustable top-side slots and travels diagonally down onto the coils, rather than up through the base as on a bottom-airflow RDA. Two things follow from that: flavour is concentrated because the air hits the coil directly, and the deck cannot leak downwards through the airflow, which is the usual failing of bottom-airflow decks. A knurled ring makes the adjustment easy to do by feel while the deck is hot. Post screws clamp onto the flat of the coil lead instead of biting into it, so a build survives being retightened.

A gold-plated positive post improves conductivity, and a gold-plated bottom feed pin is supplied for squonking on a bottom-feed mod. The 510 pin protrudes and the insulation is PEEK, so it is suitable for use with a hybrid top cap. Two 810 drip tips are included, one resin and one delrin, along with a 510 adapter, spare parts and an Allen key. Both slotted and hex post screws are provided.
